About Regulyn

HR compliance shouldn't be this hard

We build tools that make UK employment law usable for every business, not only those that can afford lawyers and HR consultants.

The problem

Small businesses are set up to fail

UK employment law is complex and it changes constantly. The penalties for getting it wrong are severe: unlimited compensation for discrimination, automatic unfair dismissal claims, regulatory investigations.

Large companies have HR departments and employment lawyers on retainer. They can afford to stay compliant. Small and medium businesses are expected to handle the same legal complexity with a fraction of the resources. They are handed outdated template handbooks, told to "consult a professional", and left to work it out.

We built Regulyn because that is not good enough.

Our story

Born from real frustration

01

We'd seen this problem before

Working with businesses across several industries, we kept seeing the same pattern: capable business owners struggling with HR compliance. Not because they did not care, but because the tools to help them do it properly did not exist.

02

What if AI could level the playing field?

Large language models made it possible to open up the expertise locked inside expensive consultants. Not to replace human judgement, but to support it, so every business has access to compliance knowledge that used to be out of reach.

03

Built by practitioners, for practitioners

Every feature came from conversations with HR managers, business owners and employment law specialists. We paid close attention to the details, severity ratings, change tracking and tone profiles, because that is where trust is won or lost.

Our approach

What we believe

Regulyn reflects a view about how AI should work alongside people in high-stakes domains.

01

AI that explains itself

Every suggestion comes with its reasoning and every change is tracked. You always know why the AI made a recommendation, and you can always override it.

02

Human judgement, supported

We do not think AI should replace HR professionals. It should take on the tedious compliance checks so they can focus on people.

03

Transparency over magic

No black boxes. You can see which legislation we check against, what changed, and why. Trust needs visibility.

04

Compliance as a feature, not a burden

Compliance should not be frightening paperwork. It should be the confidence that you are protecting your people and your business.

Our values

The principles that guide us

01

Accuracy over speed

We would rather be right than fast. Compliance is no place for "move fast and break things". Every claim we make is grounded in legislation.

02

Accessible by default

Legal language is designed to exclude. We translate it into plain English without dumbing it down. Expertise should not require a law degree.

03

We show our working

Every analysis, every redraft and every recommendation comes with an explanation. If we cannot explain it, we do not ship it.

04

Your data, your control

Your handbook is yours. We do not train on your data, we do not share it, and you can export or delete it at any time. Privacy is a right, not a feature.

05

Kept current

Employment law changes and AI improves. We commit to keeping Regulyn current for as long as you use it, not only at launch.

The team

Small team, big ambition

Regulyn is built by a small team that cares about getting this right. We are not backed by venture capital, so there is no pressure to grow at any cost. We build at a pace that lets us do it well.
